To further enhance its focus on revenue growth, KMI International leveraged Find A Rainmaker to conduct behavioral assessments of its staff. The goal was to optimize team roles in areas critical to business growth, such as lead generation, media interaction, deal closure, creative collaboration, and marketing campaign creation.

KMI has grown to become well-known as a construction consultancy. They place heavy emphasis on continued growth, but with a very busy team, who consistently interface with clients while balancing typical workloads, they knew that they had to find efficiency in business development they asked their team to pursue to help with further exposure and growth. After finding Find A Rainmaker, they knew that its rapid behavioral assessments and benchmarks would provide the in-depth data they needed to leverage specific roles and responsibilities within the team. The primary objective of using Find A Rainmaker was to align KMI’s human resources with its strategic goals of revenue growth and business expansion. By identifying the ideal roles for team members, KMI aimed to enhance its capabilities in generating leads, engaging with media, closing deals, and executing effective marketing thought leadership strategies for its experts.
The first part of the project involved running staff members through the Find A Rainmaker survey. This took less than 10 minutes per person to complete, and the KMI admin portal displayed results in real time. Five benchmark reports that are rated on a 1-10 scale were first used to assess who would be best suited to be in various roles. These included thought leadership (writing and speaking in the media), networking at events and generating leads, creating creative ways to market to prospects, and analyzing the results of efforts to tweak strategy for maximum impact. Not only did the survey generate a report, but visually explained the insights into the data points gathered for further analysis.
