As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing attorney business development capabilities, an AMLaw100 firm partnered with Find A Rainmaker (FAR) to introduce a new, interactive training format grounded in behavioral data. Building on its established coaching and development efforts, the firm sought a way to bring Find A Rainmaker insights to life in a highly practical, team-based setting.
The result was a series of tabletop exercises at this year’s retreat that were designed to simulate real-world business development scenarios while reinforcing collaboration and effective pitch behaviors.
Turning Behavioral Data into Interactive Learning
Using data from the FAR platform, the AMLaw100 firm developed hybrid tabletop exercises that combined pitch scenarios with collaboration-focused role play. The exercises were structured around realistic client situations, allowing participants to practice decision-making, communication, and teamwork in a controlled, low-risk environment.
A key input into these exercises was our newly built FAR Pitch Team Report, which provided a data-driven view of team-level behaviors. The report helped frame discussions around how teams prepare, collaborate, and execute during pitch situations, giving participants a concrete starting point for both strategy and self-reflection. Participants responded strongly to this approach, with high levels of engagement and active participation throughout the sessions. The interactive format encouraged open discussion, peer learning, and immediate application of insights drawn directly from platform data.
Showcasing Team Reports to Strengthen Collaboration
The use of Team Reports, a new addition to the FAR platform, was a standout element of the program. By shifting the focus from individual behaviors to team dynamics, the AMLaw100 firm explored how collective actions influence pitch outcomes and client development success. The reports supported richer conversations around collaboration, role clarity, and shared accountability, helping teams better understand how to work together more effectively in high-stakes business development situations. Firm leaders noted that the Pitch Team Report was a particularly valuable feature, enabling more targeted and actionable discussions during the exercises.
